Power Changes in India's Neighborhood

Currently, India's relationship with its neighbor can be compared from 2008-2010.

Between 2008-10  India saw the rebirth of democracy in its neighborhood.

In these three years, we saw major changes in many of our neighboring countries. From returning of Sheikh Hasina to Bangladesh and becoming the elected prime minister in Bangladesh, the First multi-party election in Maldives, the End of military rule in Myanmar, the defeat of LTTE in Sri Lanka to the exile of Parvez Musharraf and the beginning of newly elected government in Pakistan.

We must remember India played a major role in almost each of these countries for the rebirth of democracy.

But now after 16 years, we can see the exact opposite in most of our neighbouring countries where the government is collapsing from Bangladesh to Sri Lanka, Return of the Taliban government in Afghanistan.

For India, the changes in its neighbourhood are both sugar and a pinch of salt. In some cases like that of Srilanka and Maldives where India's reaction was praiseworthy as India helped Sri Lanka with 4B dollars which eventually saved srilanka economy and created a stronger diplomatic bond between the two countries and also India's efforts to extend the friendship with the new Maldives government looks like a success for now.

But in some cases, it can be said that loss for India as New Delhi could have interpreted the situation and could have prevented it. For example, India could have prevented the overthrow of the Sheikh Hasina government and the establishment of the new government of Bangladesh which is not very pro-India.

In conclusion, we can say that India's performance was a of mix win and defeat.

Low Tax , But High Revenue For Govt.

The recent tax relief of no income tax up to ₹12 lakh has brought great joy to the middle class, but many are wondering how the government will generate revenue if taxes are reduced. Let's break this down: In the previous financial year, income tax was the second-largest source of government revenue with 22 % of total revenue, and some are concerned that this new tax regime might lead to a loss in revenue. However, this isn't entirely the case.  Here's why: When people have more disposable income, they have two main options for what to do with it: either spend it on goods and services or invest it in places like mutual funds, banks, or other investments. Spending money : If people decide to spend their extra income, they will be paying indirect taxes like GST. This money will flow to sellers, who will also use it to make purchases, generating further GST payments. This creates a cycle of spending and taxation, known as the multiplier effect , where money keeps circulatin...

At a time when we are witnessing unrest and wars in different parts of the world, Syria's condition is also contributing to it in huge manner. Syria is leading towards its division by the different internal forces having different issues with President Bashar al-Assad and his government .The Kurdish-led Syrian democratic forces want to make a separate nation from Syria. Other than this HTS (Hayat Tahir Alsham) can be identified as a part of Alkaida which is a terrorist group in Syria that wants to throw down the current government because they are not happy with the policies of the government in favor of the Christian minority in the country. They believe that the Muslims who are in the majority in Syria are not being treated right.  This group heading towards Damascus the capital of Syria became the reason Bashar Al-Assad left the country in no time. These two forces having their different demands will most probably divide Syria into two parts one will be the Country of Kurdish pe...
