Unheard crisis in Sudan

Where every part of the world is concerned about the war between Israel and Gaza, Russia and Palestine. The Tension between the two forces of the country that is SAF (The Sudanese Armed Forces) and RSF(Rapid Support Force) in Sudan which is in WANA region (West Asia North Africa) is being ignored by everyone.

Media which is covering every small detail of war in Gaza and Palestine has kept themselves silent in this matter.

The seriousness of the crisis in Sudan can be imagined by the fact that It has led to more than 1.5 million deaths and more than 10 million people displaced which is far more than that of Gaza. But, unfortunately, very few are talking about this and seeing it as a matter of concern.

There are a few countries like Egypt, UAE, and Iran that are backing different forces directed by their interests.

This Situation in Sudan is also a matter of concern for India as India and Sudan are trading partners. In 2022-23 India's direct trade with Sudan is more than $2000 million. India should put a step forward in providing humanitarian and developmental aid  in Sudan to protect its broader interests.

New but Threating Tourism Policy For Jammu Kashmir.

The new tourism policy of 2020 to attract more tourists and project a normal and peaceful image after the removal of the special status of the state is concerning and can lead to a natural disaster in the valley. The increasing number of tourists in the state is creating stress on the delicate environment of the valley.  Because of the large number of pilgrims, widespread infrastructure is being built, which is affecting wildlife and the area's habitat. Some parts of the valley are also facing a water crisis due to climate change and the melting of glaciers. Because of all this, the threat of drought and food shortage is knocking at the door of the valley.  We cannot forget the catastrophic flood of 2014 . The main reason behind that could be the unchecked number of tourists, deforestation and uncontrolled construction. All these are being repeated in the valley which creates concern about the future of the state.  The government should form a sustainable and resili...

Low Tax , But High Revenue For Govt.

The recent tax relief of no income tax up to ₹12 lakh has brought great joy to the middle class, but many are wondering how the government will generate revenue if taxes are reduced. Let's break this down: In the previous financial year, income tax was the second-largest source of government revenue with 22 % of total revenue, and some are concerned that this new tax regime might lead to a loss in revenue. However, this isn't entirely the case.  Here's why: When people have more disposable income, they have two main options for what to do with it: either spend it on goods and services or invest it in places like mutual funds, banks, or other investments. Spending money : If people decide to spend their extra income, they will be paying indirect taxes like GST. This money will flow to sellers, who will also use it to make purchases, generating further GST payments. This creates a cycle of spending and taxation, known as the multiplier effect , where money keeps circulatin...

Sub-classifications Of Schedule Caste Categories

Recently, the Supreme Court of India in its verdict suggested a sub-classification of the reservation to ensure social justice reaches the most neglected and deprived section of society.  The idea of sub-classification aligns with B. R Ambedkar's principle of fraternity and maitri. BR Ambedkar has often said that every caste has its importance on the social ladder. Ambedkar asked the people of the SC community to wipe out the internal discrimination among them when they protested against untouchability.  There were mixed reactions among people of Schedule Caste to this verdict. Some protest was organized by the leading SC caste in fear of losing political leverage. The argument given by the protest-calling castes is that the sub-classification will lead to a divide between the sc community and their struggle for equality will become weak. But this argument assumes that there is a single dalit movement which is not true. The Bharat band called by some specific Dalit caste...
